Picture it: Paris Fashion Week, spring 2005. The international style set is aflutter with anticipation of Dutch It duo Viktor & Rolf's runway show, which is rumored to include a fabulous surprise. No one - least of all me, practically a baby beauty editor - is disappointed when the proverbial curtain goes up. What begins as a procession of steely, all-black-clad, motorcycle-helmet-wearing models gradually shifts to dreamy creatures swathed in bright, colorful concoctions of satin and ribbon. As the grand finale nears, an omnipresent voice begins chanting "Flowerbomb," followed by an explosion of flower petals. The triumphant designers take their bows with the intoxicating scent of jasmine and rose mixed with more indiscernible florals permeating the air. And the crowd goes wild. It's hard to believe that it's the 10th anniversary of the award-winning, best-selling fragrance. Here's to many, many more.

Renzo Rosso likes a little testosterone. A big, geared-up watch. Stark, futuristic sunglasses. A moto-inspired jacket that suggests a Ducati is parked out back. This is the Italian creative wizard who launched Diesel denim more than 30 years ago and now backs edgy runway lines, including Dsquared2, which the fall nails the sexy-secretary look with hourglass dresses. That's not to say Rosso has abandoned jeans: He believes women need "at least 20 pairs." His new favorite colors are dark gray and military green, and he becomes excited describing the complexity of a beloved distressed finish. "It's a little bit dirty, with a rich feel," he says.
