Haute Parfumerie Collection - unisex fragrances

Haute Parfumerie Collection by Celine is a new designer fragrance collection from the fashion house of CELINE and creative director Hedi Slimane. The daytime perfumes include: Cologne Française, Dans Paris, Eau de Californie, La Peau Nue, Parade, and Saint Germain des Prés. The evening scents include Black Tie, Nightclubbing, and Reptile. Two new daytime scents, Bois Dormant and Rimbaud, are expected to launch in 2020. These new aromatic perfumes, launched in 2019, are available in eau de parfum sprays.

Celine Parade - Musky powdery scent
"A musky, powdery cologne in keeping with the very codified ritual of male sartorial appearance. An attribute of the great dandies from 19th century literature right up to the musicians on the pop and rock scene since the 60s. A return to the idea of transmission and of a very French kind of perfumery. A parade under the sunlight of neroli and the radiance of bergamot, a carefree and sophisticated mix imparted by musk and oak moss, a feminine facet revealed in an addictive and powdery residual trail."

Celine Saint-Germain des Pres - Floral gourmand scent
"The eternal youth of the left bank and their allure, looking like heroes from a novel and the movies, young people Hedi Slimane never tires of observing, sitting in a café at Saint-Germain-des-Prés, his favorite part of Paris since he was 20 years old. Saint-Germain is recaptured in a perfume. The insolence of petit grain, the delicateness of orange blossom faceted by heliotrope and vanilla, as sweet as marshmallow or a puff of icing sugar, underlined with the elegance and nobility of orris."

CELINE - THE HAUTE PARFUMERIE COLLECTION
Created by Hedi Slimane, the Celine perfume collection draws its know-how from French high perfumery, in keeping with the tradition of the "couturier parfumeur". The Celine Haute Parfumerie collection is comprised of 9 perfumes to date. Their names, chosen by Hedi Slimane, stem from the couturier's olfactory journal.

THE ESSENCE OF PARIS, THE FRENCH SPIRIT
The Parisian spirit, pronounced classicism and dissonant sophistication are at the core of this olfactory project that raises the question of French taste and its meaning within our era. The Celine Haute Parfumerie collection restates and revisits a tradition, a style and cultural roots but in a reverse sense. From an olfactory perspective, it transposes an allure, a tone and the notion of timeless wear so dearly valued by the couturier.

THE JOURNAL OF A COUTURIER
The starting point and the root of the collection's creation is Hedi Slimane's olfactory journal, where each perfume relies on the memory of emotions, on the remembrance of something specific or the narrative of the couturier. Hence, there is a personal and sentimental character at the heart of the project and hedi slimane's relationship with his perfumers. De facto, it takes on a personal and universal dimension where the reassurance, the memory and the emotion of a perfume resonate within everyone.

THE POWDERY OLFACTORY SIGNATURE
All the perfumes are linked together by one singular olfactory imprint. A powdery note dominates the collection, shading the singular features of each composition. Like a diaphanous veil placed over the skin, this powdery filter provides each perfume with an enveloping patina and the French elegance of a couture trail.

MASCULINE-FEMININE
The Celine Haute Parfumerie collection recaptures Hedi Slimane's masculine-feminine stylistic codes. The faceted accords and compositions in the collection deliberately make no distinction or separation between traditional masculine and feminine notes. They harmonize or blend together in a continuous questioning of identities.

THE BOTTLE
The rectangular bottle designed by Hedi Slimane for Celine is in keeping with the great tradition of french glassmaking. The bottle for the Celine Haute Parfumerie collection is decorated on two sides with sharp-edged fluting and topped with a faceted black lacquered cap. An aesthetic inherited from late 17th century Classicism, whose distinctive minimalism imbues the bottle with the modernity of Art Deco: spare, taut lines, a touch of black lacquer and transparent glass whose workmanship and amber-gold reflections highlight the nuances of each perfume.

The box is adorned in paper with a "grain de poudre" feel and embossing that recreates the effect of 17th century moldings. They are inspired by the woodwork paneling in the Hôtel Colbert de Torcy where the Celine ateliers are housed at 16, rue vivienne in Paris.

The maison's emblem, the "triomphe" is engraved on the top of the cap. It was chosen by its founder, Céline Vipiana who, one day in 1971, saw her split initial C designed in the links cinching the "arc de triomphe". It comes to complete this bottle's sense of belonging to the history of the couture house.

AN HAUTE PARFUMERIE ADDRESS
Installed at 390, rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, the first haute parfumerie boutique designed by Hedi Slimane, hosts all of the maison's perfume creations. This first parisian fragrance establishment reconnects with the inherently french heritage of the Celine couture house.
